BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's track & field team completed the second day of the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.
In the discus throw, Abby Mikolay won the event with a toss of 39.29 meters (128' 11'') giving her First Team All-ODAC honors.
Olivia Bates scored points for the Eagles finishing fourth and registering a new personal best in the triple jump recording a leap measuring 10.99 meters (36' 0.75''). She still sits in seventh in the BC history.
On the track, Mackenzie Young earned Third Team All-ODAC honors in the 1,500-meter run with a new personal best time of 4:45.64. Young now moves to third all time in program history. She also competed in the 800-meter run grabbing fifth with a new personal best time of 2:20.05 moving her all the way to third in BC history.
Summer Wallace competed in the 100-meter dash finals crossing the line at the 12.53 mark. Wallace also saw action in the 200-meter dash finals where she finished with a time of 25.87.
Bridgewater placed fifth as a team racking up 70 points. Lynchburg repeated as champions with 224 points, Washington and Lee took the second spot with 140.5 points and Roanoke rounded out the top three with 123 points.
The Eagles will travel to Lynchburg, Va. to compete in the Hill City Twilight on Friday, May 3 starting at 4 p.m.
