MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Bridgewater College women's track & field team saw action at the Mount Olive First Chance meet on Friday.
Abby Mikolay reset her own shot put school record recording first in the event with a mark measuring 13.14 meters (43' 1.5'') beating out her previous record by 0.01 meters. She is now ranked 39th in Division III in the event. Mikolay also competed in the discus throw claiming second in the event with a heave of 39.60 meters (129' 11'').
J'Quaycia Brown competed in the long jump leaping out to a new personal best measurement of 5.38 meters (17' 8'') to move up to seventh in program history. Summer Wallace also saw action in the event jumping out to a mark of 5.26 meters (17' 3.25). Jade Buckles was the final Eagle to compete in the event recording a 4.76-meter (15' 7.5'') leap.
Brianna Morgan moves up to fourth all time in BC history in the hammer throw after registering a heave of 41.47 meters (136' 1'').
Buckles and Adalia Coleman saw action in the 100-meter dash preliminaries finishing with times of 12.76 and 13.01, respectively
Bridgewater is right back at it tomorrow, May 11 for the Mount Olive Final Qualifier beginning at 1 p.m.
