MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Bridgewater College women's track & field team concluded its time at the Mount Olive Final Qualifier
Abby Mikolay won the discus throw with a new personal best throw of 42.14 meters (138' 3'') which still puts her second in program history. She also claimed first in the shot put recording a heave measuring 12.43 meters (40' 9.5).
Brianna Morgan competed in the hammer throw registering a heave of 40.72 meters (133' 7'').
J'Quaycia Brown recorded third in the long jump registering a mark 5.34 meters (17' 6.25''). Brown also saw action in the triple jump leaping out to a mark of 10.64 meters (34' 11'').
Summer Wallace saw fourth in the in the long jump with a leap measuring 5.27 meters (17' 3.5'') and was in the high jump recording a clear of 1.51 meters (4' 11.5'')
Jade Buckles ran in the 100-meter dash preliminaries crossing the line at the 12.93 mark. Buckles also competed in the triple jump recording a measurement 10.24 meters (33' 7.25'')
The Eagles will compete again on Thursday, May 16 in the Augustana College Twilight Qualifier starting at 12 p.m.
