WASHINGTON – Bridgewater women's track & field competed well at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Catholic on Saturday.
The Eagles had two finishers win in their event along with multiple records shattered.
Taylor Myers finished atop the leaderboard in the 5,000m, marking that as the fourth-fastest time in school history on the top-10 all-time list with a time of 17:53.56.
Jade Buckles collected a strong time in the 200 meters clocking at 26.46, making that the fourth-fastest time in the event at Bridgewater. The strong marks kept following with a third-place finish for Olivia Bates in the triple jump (10.84m), also securing a spot on the top-10 all-time list sitting at fifth best. Summer Wallace also tied her personal best in the triple jump with a 10.44m mark.
Then, another top-five finish came from the hands of Elizabeth Ramos, locking in a personal best in the weight throw (12.18m) and securing the 10th best mark in school history.
In the weight throw, Abby Mikolay who just came off a strong finish at the season opener continued it on at D.C. Mikolay placed first in the event with a mark of 14.43m. Then, in the shot put, the thrower landed in second (12.25m). Also, in the wight throw, Brianna Morgan took second place throwing 14.29m.
