WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's golf team completed the first round of action at the Melee Sunday afternoon placing sixth.
In the individual scores, Hannah Rizzo led the way for the Eagles with a solid fourth-place first round among 42 competitive golfers. Rizzo finished the first 18 holes with a +6 (78) and scored two solid birdies at holes 12 and 13.
Emily Price was Bridgewater's next finisher to tie for 11th in a three-way tie. The next finisher for the Eagles was Addy Sweet with a 26th place finish. Also, in 26th place was fellow teammate Iyana Smith.
To round out play for the Eagles was Sarah Maggi.
Bridgewater will return tomorrow, Oct. 20 to close out competition at the Melee hosted by Premier Collegiate Tournaments.
