HARRISONBURG, Va. - Bridgewater women's track & field competed well in the new home indoor track facility at the Rockingham Collegiate Classic Friday.
Five athletes stood atop the leaderboard in their respective events along with record-breaking performances throughout the day.
In the field, Jade Buckles and Summer Wallace went first and second in the long jump as Buckles outdid her previous personal best with a new mark of 5.36m. Wallace jumped 5.11m. Abby Mikolay and Brianna Morgan went first and second in the weight throw with a 14.80m mark and 14.72m.
Elizabeth Ramos also took fifth with a mark of 12.56m. Mikolay also stood atop the leaderboard in the shot put with a leading mark of 12.87m.
On the track, Buckles later blazed through in the 60m dash with a personal best time of 7.79 along with a first-place result overall individually. Summer Wallace led the way in the 200 with a time of 26.04.
Then, Taylor Myers ran her first 800 in her young college career resulting in a second-place finish and a time of 2:18.43 (team's fastest time this season).
Olivia Bates and Maddie Watson placed second and third in the 60-meter hurdles finals as both secured a personal best time of 9.47 and 9.53. To round it out, Regan Robinson placed fifth in the mile run with a time of 5:31.85.

The Eagles will look ahead to conference championships as Roanoke will host the ODAC indoor track & field championships held in Salem, Va., on March 1-2.
