LEXINGTON, Va. - Bridgewater College women's track & field nailed competition Saturday at the VMI Classic at the Corps Training Facility.
The women highlighted in multiple events along with setting personal bests among tough competition.
Taylor Myers led the way with another strong time, posting a time of 10:15.56 in the 3,000m and placing second individually (second fastest all-time in school history).
Jade Buckles set a personal best in the 60-meter prelims with a time of 7.82 (third-fastest all-time). Following that strong time, Megan Wimmer also set a personal best in the mile with a 5:29.46 time (10th fastest time all-time). Additionally, Maddie Watson in the 60-meter hurdle prelims recorded the seventh fastest time at Bridgewater (9.73).
In the field, Abby Mikolay displayed another top-five performance in the shot put with a mark of 12.37m locking down a third-place result. Mikolay also placed seventh in the weight throw (14.65m).
Then, Summer Wallace took fourth in the high jump with a 1.58m mark (seventh-best all-time) and set a personal best in the 200m for the fourth-best mark at Bridgewater (25.93). Rounding out the day in the triple jump was Olivia Bates with a 10.93m mark and also a fourth-place mark individually (fifth-best all-time).
