LEXINGTON, Va. - Bridgewater women's track & field returned for day two at the W&L Carnival in the first outdoor meet of the season with successful marks Saturday.
Jade Buckles showed out in the second day of action at the W&L meet with strong finishes in the 100m and the 200m. Buckles claimed the event title in both with personal bests of 12.43 in the 100 and 25.41 in the 200.
Fellow sprinter, Summer Wallace, ran side-by-side with Buckles taking second in the 100 and 200 with posted times of 12.78 and a personal best of 25.63 in the 200.
Also on the track, Olivia Bates posted a strong finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.67. In the field, Bates competed in the triple jump and secured a strong third-place finish with a mark of 10.78m.
To round out the action, Abby Mikolay led the way in the shot put with an impressive throw of 12.78m.

Abby Mikolay led the way in the discus throw posting a mark of 42.18m and breaking her personal best.
Day 2
Jade Buckles in 100m took the event title running a time of 12.43 and breaking her personal best. Buckles later competed in the 200, also taking the event title with a personal best time of 25.41. Summer Wallace followed closely behind in both the 100 and 200, taking second-place finishes in both events with a time of 12.78 in the 100 and a personal best time of 25.63 in the 200.
