FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced Sunday evening the Bridgewater baseball team secured the No. 3 seed in the ODAC tournament field with the opening round set to begin Saturday, May 3.
The Eagles will face No. 6 seeded Averett in a best-of-3 series format at home. One game will be played on Friday and the possible third game will be played after the result of the second game on Saturday.
In the final standings, Bridgewater carried an ODAC record of 14-7-1 in the regular season. The Averett Cougars finished the regular season with a conference record of .500 at 11-11.
At the top of the standings stood Lynchburg with an impressive ODAC record of 18-4. Randolph-Macon then took the second seed with a conference record of 15-7.
