FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced Thursday five Bridgewater College baseball athletes to All-ODAC selection teams.

Nick Stavros garnered All-ODAC First Team honors putting up stellar numbers all season. The Stony Point, N.Y., native batted .438 on the season with a 1.091 OPS along with 48 runs scored, 71 hits, three homers, and 37 runs batted in. In 162 at bats, Stavros only struck out five times, displaying impressive plate discilpline. On top of that honor, Stavros was awarded ODAC Player of the Year.

Ashton Smith also received All-ODAC First Team recognition as the Chesapeake, Va., native recorded 48 runs batted in, six homers, 17 extra base hits, and 56 hits on a .346 season batting average. 

Zack Chadwell tore it up on the field throughout the season including being named to ODAC Player of the Week knocking four home runs out of the ball park in five games. Chadwell (Chesapeake, Va.) received to All-ODAC First Team to his name while posting an enormous stats total on the season with a league-leading OPS (1.322) and a batting average of .396 along with 14 homers, 55 runs batted in, 105 total bases, and a .784 slugging percentage. 

On the mound, Cam Nuckols held strong throughout the season including an ODAC Pitcher of the Week accolade. Nuckols garnered All-ODAC Second Team, putting up a 3.22 earned run average in 12 appearances with a team-high 65 strikeouts and five wins.

Evan Bert rounded out the selection teams with a spot on the All-ODAC Third Team. The Harrisonburg, Va., native collected 40 strikeouts in 12 appearances including five wins on the season.
