FOREST, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team was selected 10th in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Preseason Poll released on Thursday afternoon.
Washington and Lee (99 points) took home nine first-place votes and the top spot in the poll once again, while defending league champions Averett (88 pts.) came in second and received one vote for the top spot. Randolph accounted for the final first-place vote but placed fifth overall.Â
Virginia Wesleyan (78 pts.) rounded out the podium, while Shenandoah (75 pts.) came in fourth ahead of the WildCats that finished off the top five. Lynchburg (52 pts.) placed sixth, Hampden-Sydney (47 pts.)Â seventh and Guilford (36Â pts.) rounded out the projected tournament field with Roanoke (34 pts.) close behind in ninth. Randolph-Macon (12 pts.) came in 12th behind the Eagles (17 pts.) to round out the coaches' poll.
Bridgewater enters the 2026 spring season under new leadership, with Noah Hughes '24 returning to his alma mater to lead the program. BC's roster is highlighted by the return of
Corey Beshoar at the top of the ladder, along with experience returning in the form of
Coree Nicely,
Steven Perry and
Logan Garner, who all saw action in the ladder last season. The Eagles open the spring slate in Lynchburg on Feb. 21 against Randolph in an ODAC matchup.Â
