BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Abby Mikolay of the Bridgewater College women's track and field team competed at the 2026 NCAA division III indoor track and field championship meet in the women's shot put on Saturday evening.
Mikolay competed in the first flight of the event and placed 20th. Mikolay opened with an 11.74-meter throw and made a best 11.80-meter throw on her second attempt. Mikolay fouled on her third throw. The junior thrower failed to make the finals of the event. The Waynesboro, Va native was the first women's shot putter in program history to represent the Eagles in the national meet.
Mikolay and the women's track and field team gear up to transition to the outdoor season. BC opens the outdoor section at the W&L Track and Field Carnival on Friday, Mar. 20 at 10 a.m.
