FOREST, Va. - Corey Beshoar and Eli Entsminger of the Bridgewater College men's tennis team swept the ODAC's weekly awards, announced on Monday afternoon.
Beshoar took home the league's player of the week honor, while he and Entsminger combined to be the conference's doubles team of the week.
The senior from Harrisonburg opened the week by falling in a tight match to Pfeiffer at the top spot, but turned it around with a pair of wins to open the Eagles' spring trip. Beshoar rolled by the tune of 6-1, 6-1 at the top spot on Saturday against William Peace and backed it up on Sunday night with a double-bagel 6-0, 6-0 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene.
Entsminger and Beshoar teamed up at the top spot for Bridgewater in the squad's three matches this week. The duo fell to Pfeiffer before clinching the doubles point for BC with a 6-2 win against William Peace. The pairing backed it up on Sunday evening in Hilton Head as a 6-4 victory on court one kept the Eagles alive for the doubles point.
Bridgewater continues its stay in Hilton Head as part of PTR Spring Tennis Fest with matches throughout the week in the Palmetto State.
