WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's golf team finished second among six teams over the weekend at The Ruckus.
Hannah Rizzo led the Eagles with a strong performance, shooting a season low 76 (+4) in the second round to finish with a two-round total of 157, placing third individually.
Senior Emily Price added another top finish for the Eagles, placing fifth overall, while freshman Addy Sweet continued her strong progression by shooting a personal best collegiate round of 82 in the second round, finishing tied for sixth and earning a top-10 finish.
"It is great to see three players well inside the top 10," said golf head coach Nick Schlickenrieder. "It shows the depth of this group and how we are starting to put things together as a team."
Freshmen Iyana Smith and Sarah Maggi provided key scores for the Eagles from the first and second rounds, helping to post rounds of 342 and 338. The final round of 338 marked the team's second-best score of the season so far.
Bridgewater finished 23 strokes behind tournament champion Drew University.
The Eagles will prepare for the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate going up against some of the best teams in the country on April 10-12 in Jacksonville, N.C.
