BUENA VISTA, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's lacrosse team cruised to a 13-0 win over Southern Virginia Tuesday night. The Eagles improved to 6-3 on the season and raised their win streak to five games.

Kyla Fricks scored the first three goals for the Eagles within the first two minutes. Fricks got the Eagles their first goal with 13 seconds elapsed in the contest. Fricks found the back of the net 53 seconds into the game on an assist from Olivia Lawrence. Fricks scored again unassisted with 13:13 remaining in the opening period. After going scoreless for four minutes, Paige Overeem connected with Carly Gardill fresh out of the penalty box to give the Eagles a 4-0 advantage. Ella Price scored on an assist from Lauren Garrett with 4:51 remaining in the opening quarter. The final goal of the stanza came with 1:51 remaining where Alli Kuhar found Overeem for her first goal of the contest.

Bridgewater was scoreless in the opening three minutes of the second quarter but continued their scoring ways with 12:32 remaining in the first half when Madelaine Godat scored on an assist from Paige Mayers. With 9:23 remaining in the half, the Gardill-Overeem tandem connected for a score again. The game was scoreless for the remainder of the half.
