FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference named junior thrower Abby Mikolay the ODAC field athlete of the meet Friday morning, following her performance in the 2026 ODAC indoor championships last weekend. 

Mikolay claimed gold in the women's shot put. The Waynesboro, Va product opened with a 13.63-meter throw, resetting the conference and meet record. The previous conference record stood since 1995, making it the longest-standing record in the conference record book. 

Mikolay and the Eagles compete on Saturday, Mar. 7 at the NCAA South Regional.
