WINCHESTER, Va. - Senior Trey Birchett and junior Jesus Flores represented the Bridgewater College men's track and field team at the NCAA South Region Final Qualifier Saturday afternoon.
Birchett competed in the men's high jump and cleared 1.97 meters. Birchett placed second in the event.
Flores competed in the men's shot put and recorded a best throw of 16.29 meters. With his top throw, Flores moved to second on the all-time program performance list in shot put.
The national championship meet begins on Friday, Mar. 13. It will be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. The official list of invites will be announced tomorrow evening.
