AMHERST, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's golf team holds ninth after round two at the ODAC Championship at Poplar Grove Golf Course Saturday.
The Eagles finished with a 13-stroke improvement from day one to stick a round two score of +25 (313). After two rounds, the Eagles are at +63. Va. Wesleyan has now dropped below Bridgewater finishing 10th and are eight strokes behind the Eagles.
In the player leaderboard, Jayden Hendricks remains the lowest scorer for the crimson and gold with a +13 after two rounds and a 17th place finish. Hendricks logged two birdies while limiting to just two double bogeys.
Brandon Washburn had the drop score of the day with an 80 while Walker Gillespie and Will Layton are tied with Washburn for 28th. Jackson Baugher finished as the fourth scorer with a 40th place finish.
Guilford has now taken sole possession of first place with a seven-stroke lead over Washington & Lee. Washington & Lee's Jonathan McEwen holds the top spot in the individual standings with a three-stroke lead. The Eagles are seven strokes behind Roanoke and Averett
The final round of action begins tomorrow, April 21 at 10:50 a.m.
