BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - The Bridgewater College women's golf team opened the fall slate at the Shenandoah Invitational at Cacapon State Park Resort in a two-day event as the women concluded the invitational Sunday afternoon in 13th of 17 teams competing.  

The Eagles finished higher than two fellow conference opponents, Roanoke and Averett, respectively, to score a 726 (362-364).  

Senior Hannah Rizzo led the way for the Eagles placing 23rd among 91 golfers. In the two-day event, Rizzo carded a +10 on both days. She included two birdies on the final day to close with an 82.  

Then, Iyana Smith and Addy Sweet both came away with the second-best finish for the Eagles to take 67th. Smith earned a birdie on the first day as well. 

Sarah Maggi rounded out the competitors from the weekend. 

The Eagles hit the links again at their home tournament on Sept. 21-22 in Harrisonburg, Va., at Lakeview Golf Course.
