Kyle Williford - 2002
Kyle Willford ended his basketball playing career at Bridgewater College as one of the most decorated players in program history.
Williford was the ODAC Freshman of the Year and the Columbus Multimedia National Freshman of the Year in 1999.
He was a first-team All-ODAC selection the next three season. As a junior, in addition to the All-ODAC honor, Willfiord was a first-team NABC All-Region selection, a second-team NABC All-America pick and a fourth-team D3hoops.com All-America selection.
Following his senior season, Williford was named the ODAC Player of the Year while earning his second straight NABC first-team All-Region nod. He was a consensus All-American, earning first-team recognition on the NABC, D3hoops.com and the D-III News All-America teams. Williford also set a Bridgewater single-game scoring record with a 56-point effort against Roanoke College.
Williford ranks No. 3 on the Bridgewater career scoring list with 1,927 points. He is No. 5 all-time in rebounds with 909 and No. 1 all-time in blocked shots with 193.
Williford played one season of professional basketball in Germany before entering the business world where he is currently vice-president of sales for Global Knowledge.
In recognition of his outstanding basketball career, Kyle Williford is deserving of recognition into the Bridgewater College Athletic Hall of Fame.
