BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Kenner Berry had five extra-base hits, including three home runs, Saturday afternoon to power the Bridgewater College Eagles to a doubleheader sweep over the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
In the opener Berry hit two homers, one an inside-the-park job, to pace the Eagles to an 11-2 victory. Sophomore lefty Chad Lenz worked four solid innings, allowing just one earned run, to pick up the victory on the mound.
In the second game, Berry needed only a single to hit for the cycle as he finished 3-for-5 with a double, triple and homer. Starting pitcher Brady Cockerham and three relievers combined to blank the Dolphins on just four base hits.
Bridgewater wasted little time in jumping on Dolphins' starter Tyler Krolikowski in the bottom of the first inning of the opener. Dylan Horne chopped a grounder over the mound for an infield single to lead off the game and Brandon Poole and Ryan Leake each walked to load the bases with no outs. Berry cleared the sacks with a grand slam to left, giving the Eagles a 4-0 lead.

Cockerham turned in a strong start in the second game as the lefty allowed just two hits in five shutout innings. He struck out four and did not walk a batter.
The Eagles used some heads-up baserunning to get on the board in the bottom of the first. Mount Saint Vincent starter Robert Negron retired the first two batters before Leake reached on an infield error. Leake moved to second on a balk with Berry at the plate. Berry swung and missed at a pitch for strike three but the ball glanced off the catcher's glove and rolled to the backstop. Berry beat the throw to first and Leake raced home to score all the way from second to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.

Howell walked and stole second before Justin Petock drove home Berry with a sacrifice fly to make the score 9-0. Chris King then knocked in Bridgewater's final run of the day as his single scored Howell to make the score 10-0.
