Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Bridgewater wrapped up its spring break trip to Hilton Head with an 18-5 loss to Muhlenberg College on Thursday.
Junior Annie Sullivan led the Eagles with two goals, an assist and a caused turnover. Senior Jenna Devilbiss added a goal and an assist.
Muhlenberg put the game away with a 10-goal first half to take a 10-1 lead at the break.
After Sullivan had scored early for Bridgewater to tie things up at 1-1, the Mules ran off 10 straight- capping the first half with a Casey Armstrong eight-meter goal in the final seconds.
Armstrong assisted Kelsey Nagle for a 10th straight Muhlenberg goal, with the Eagles finally responding to score twice through Sarah Yashinskie and Claire Palermo-Re.
Muhlenberg's Stephanie D'Ascoli made it a 10-goal differential for the second and third times, at 13-3 and 14-4, sandwiched around a Devilbiss goal.
Nagle would lead the Mules with four goals and two assists, with D'Ascoli totaling four goals and Nora Fisher also recording a hat trick (with one assist each).
Rachel Gruber made 11 saves in the cage for Bridgewater; Kiersten Mulvey and Sara Allison split time in goal for Muhlenberg and made three stops each.
Bridgewater (3-2) returns home tomorrow morning, and will begin a five-game homestand vs. Ramapo on Tuesday. That stretch will include BC's ODAC opener vs. Guilford on March 20, and a matchup with defending conference champion Washington & Lee (March 30), as the Eagles will not play away from campus again until early April.
Muhlenberg improves to 4-0 on the year, including two victories this week in Hilton Head.
