SALEM, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's track & field concluded its time at the ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday
Mackenzie Young picked up hardware for the Eagles finishing second and setting school record and a new personal record in the mile with a time of 5:07.96.
Abby Mikolay claimed more All-ODAC hardware winning the shot put with a heave of 12.95 meters (42' 5.75'') and sets a new personal record as well as a school record with the mark.
Summer Wallace collected All-ODAC honors in the 200-meter dash after placing second crossing the line at the 26.24 mark. Wallace moves to seventh all-time in program history.
Olivia Bates and Jade Buckles each scored points for BC in the triple jump with leaps measuring 10.73 meters (35' 2.25'') and 10.64 meters (34' 10.75''), respectively. Bates moves to seventh in program history while Buckles moves to ninth with the jump.
Young and Emily Smeds competed in the 3,000-meter run scoring points with times of 10:36.17 and 10:40.71, respectively. Sarah Earle grabbed a personal record in the event clocking being timed at the 11:20.43 mark.
Izzy Green earned a new personal record in the 800-meter run clocking a 2:37.68 finish.
Bridgewater finished in fifth place with 70 points. Lynchburg took home the title with 197 points, Roanoke came in second with 95 points and Washington and Lee took the third spot with 91 points.
The Eagles will make the short trip to Winchester, Va. this Saturday for the South Region Final Qualifier.
