FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) has announced Tuesday junior Olivia Bates as ODAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week after a phenomenal showing at the Liberty Invitational. 

Bates competed in the triple jump among tough competitors placing 17th individually with a mark of 10.88m. With that mark, the jumper is well in the top-10 all-time marks list at Bridgewater (No. 5) as well as securing the best mark in the conference and the second-best mark in the south region.  

Bates will next compete at the Finn Pincus Invitational hosted by Roanoke on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
