FOREST, Va. - Bridgewater College women's track and field senior Jade Buckles earned her third consecutive ODAC track athlete of the week honor, announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Buckles continued her impressive 2026 indoor campaign Saturday morning at the Shane Stevens Winter Invitational. In the condensed meet, Buckles competed in the women's 60-meter dash in the first hour of the meet. Buckles crossed the line in 7.85 seconds, granting her a first-place finish.
Buckles led the pack in the women's 200-meter dash, clocking 25.61. With a flat track conversion to 25.22, the Stafford, Va., native set the best mark in the conference, the fifth best mark in the south region, and the #21 best mark in the nation.
Buckles and the Eagles are set to compete in the Bast-Cregger Invitational on Friday, Jan. 30. The two-day meet will be hosted by Roanoke College.
