LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater College women's track & field put up promising performances at the Bast-Cregger Invitational in the two-day meet to continue to improve on personal bests set back at the season opener.
Abby Mikolay answered on her previously set marks placing her well at the top of conference competitors. Mikolay threw past her personal best in the weight throw with a strong mark of 15.26m. That mark is second-best mark all-time on the top-10 list in program history. Mikolay also competed in shot put to take third with a mark of 12.02m.
Megan Wimmer impressed on the track in the 1,000m and took ninth place with a time of 3:15.84.
