LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater women's track & field secured record-breaking results at Wildcat Invite hosted by Randolph on Saturday.
The women competed well, topping the leaderboard in five events along with personal records broken across the board.
Jade Buckles led the way in both sprint events with a time of 12.44 in the 100 and 25.19 in the 200. Summer Wallace claimed the individual event title in the 400m with a new personal best time of 57.57. That time marks her second all-time in program history. Wallace also took first in the long jump with a 5.51m leap.Â
In the 100m hurdles Olivia Crigger came up big with a personal best time of 15.57, placing second individually. That time marks her seventh all-time in program history. Crigger also earned a pair of third-place finishes in the long jump (5.23m) and triple jump (11.12m). Then, Maddie Watson put up a strong finish in the high jump to take fifth and clear the bar at 1.45m. Watson also nailed a personal best in the 100m hurdles (15.98), which is 10th all-time in program history.Â
In the shot put, Abby Mikolay took the title with a mark of 12.19m. Mikolay also earned first place in the discus with a mark of 43.76m. Elizabeth Ramos also competed in the discus setting a new personal best mark of 36.66m which is fourth all-time in program history. Rounding out the day, Brianna Morgan took fifth in the hammer throw with a solid mark of 39.64m.Â
Next up, the Eagles prepare for the ODAC championships set to begin on Friday, April 24 at EMU.
