FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference named junior thrower Jesus Flores the ODAC field athlete of the meet Friday morning, following his performance in the 2026 ODAC indoor championships last weekend.  

Flores took gold in both shot put and weight throw. In weight throw, Flores recorded his best throw of 17.58 meters on his final attempt. His teammate, Joe Flynn, took the second podium spot with a top throw of 16.10 meters. 

In shot put, Flores took the lead late in the contest by recording a 15.75 meter throw on his fourth attempt.  

Flores and the Eagles compete in the South Regional beginning Saturday, Mar. 7.
