FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced Monday afternoon Evan Bert was awarded ODAC Pitcher of the Week after a strong performance on the mound against Randolph-Macon in the second game of the doubleheader. 

The senior registered a complete game against the nationally recognized Yellow Jackets last Saturday in a lopsided 19-0 shutout. Bert also collected eight strikeouts on just two hits in a shortened seven-inning contest due to the run rule decision.  

Bert leads the Eagles with 40 strikeouts this season and holds a 5-2 record.  

This marks the first conference weekly award for Bridgewater this season.
